ANTHEM                    “How Sweet It Is”        Chancel Choir

We gather in Your house, Lord, humbly and with prayerful hearts.

For each of us has gone astray in our own way before God.

Yet in Christ each of us is lovingly welcomed in God’s house.

Then let us not judge each other; instead let us extend God’s grace.

For in God’s grace alone are we made clean, that none should boast.

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

- It’s Coming!  Consecration Sunday, November 10, 2013 Why Give? The Bible tells us we give time, talents, and treasures because of our relationship with Jesus Christ. We give to further our church’s mission and ministry in response to the spiritual work God has done in our lives. How has our Church’s ministry influenced you? The theme is: Reaching In…to your hearts, treasures, and talents. Reaching Up…to God to present your gifts willingly, and Reaching Out…to those in need. By Nov. 10th, Consecration Sunday. God is asking you to Reach A Conclusion by asking: How will I Share my treasures, time, and talents.

 - Soup Kitchen and Country Store Very Successful The Annual UMW Soup Kitchen and Country Store on Oct. 16th was a fantastic day for our church. Just saying “thank you” does not adequately express our gratitude.  To everyone who volunteered on countless committees, the tireless workers who came on Monday to set up Wesley Hall, the cooks and bakers who donated soups and pies, as well as items for the Country Store, and all the volunteer workers who supported the event. It would be impossible to name everyone who helped make this a huge success, but we sincerely thank you all. Estimated profits of $5,200 will be used for camping scholarships and local mission projects.   Carole Hurley & Delora Carson, Co-Chair

- Church Women United of Yankton, SD will be celebrating World Community Day, on Friday, November 1st at Trinity Lutheran Church beginning at 1:30pm. If you have not been a regular purchaser, please consider becoming one. It is a good way of supporting our church.
