RITUAL OF FRIENDSHIP (Please leave complete address)

*CALL TO WORSHIP

The same God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts      to give us knowledge.

When a creative word or vision is rare, God speaks nonetheless.

When words become law, yet fail to feed and heal, the word made flesh risks action.

May word and words empower us this hour.

   Let us worship God.

GREAT THANKSGIVING

    Christ be with you.

         And also with you.

Lift up your hearts.

We lift them up to God.

Let us give thanks to the Holy Spirit.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

And so, with your creatures on earth and all the heavenly chorus, we praise your       name and join their unending hymn, saying:

Holy, holy, holy One, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full                         of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the one who comes in                        your holy name. Hosanna in the highest.

And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts of love, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as your children, made holy by your grace, in union with Christ’s love for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.

Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
