Call For Volunteers there will be a meeting for anyone WILLING TO HELP WITH or teach PreK-5th grade Sunday School for the 2018-2019 school year, Sunday, May 20th at 10:00am between the Worship services in the upstairs Sunday School gathering room.

 

Summer Worship Hours The Worship Committee again has looked at the summer months that are approaching with busy activities of our church family. It has been determined that one service on Sunday morning and one evening service on Wednesday has in the past and will again this summer fill the spiritual needs of our members as well as visitors that will be in Yankton with families or guests in our fair city. Sunday service will begin June 3rd at 10:00am. Wednesday evening service will be at 6:30pm beginning May 30th. An evening meal will be prepared that will be served at 5:30pm on Wednesday evenings for any one that would like to come and partake with food and fellowship. This schedule will be in effect until Labor Day. It is one of our missions as a Worship Committee to keep Christ in our lives through Worship during the busy summer months.  Peace, Love and see you in church either on Sunday or Wednesday evening.

 

 

Peace with Justice, Sunday, May 27th gifts on Peace with Justice Sunday fund programs that advocate for peace and justice in the United States and around the world. These programs empower United Methodists to speak out for removing structures and systems that harm God’s children globally.

 

Seats & Feets The Evangelism committee will be collecting underwear and socks thru May 27th. The donations will be distributed on Thursday, May 31st when FUMC serves The Banquet. You can help by taking a sock and/or underwear cutout from the clothes line located in the lobby, purchase the size indicated, and return it to church and place it in the tote. 

 

The Banquet our church will be serving The Banquet on Thursday, May 31st. There are sign-up sheets in Wesley Hall for food and volunteers. Please donate some food and/or time if you can. It’s a great way for our church and its people to show caring and concern for our own community. The Evangelism Committee will be distributing donations for Seats and Feets at The Banquet. Please join us for an evening of fun and fellowship.

The Missions Committee

 

Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God! Come along and join us for the Ride of a Lifetime during Vacation Bible School at the Rolling River Rampage. Students will learn how to serve God and God's mission for their lives. Their lives may be bumpy and take crazy turns, but our stories, songs, activities and crafts will teach them how to handle the waves and keep God in their sites. Vacation Bible School Registration is now open! Please register at https://tinyurl.com/VBSRRR by Friday, June 1st. VBS will be June 3rd – 7th from 6:15pm-8pm each evening with supper and Children's program Thursday evening. There is a sign-up sheet in Wesley Hall for snack donations.

 

Camp even though the Early Bird deadline is past you can still register for camp. The cost would be at full price. The church and UWM will still cover ½ of the early bird cost for one camp per youth (K-12th grade) you are responsible for the balance.

 

 

 

KYNT Radio Broadcast, The sign-up folder is located on the Hy-Vee table in the Church Lounge. The cost to sponsor a Sunday broadcast is $45.
