SPECIAL MUSIC             “Summerland” Ryan Golden

William Grant Still’s Summerland, a solo 20th century repertoire. The thought-provoking piece features a melodic style, simple form, and familiar harmonies, and is a gem of “pianistic poetry.” This stunning piece represents “Heaven of life-after-death,” as it is infused with qualities of beauty, wonder and tenderness often associated with concepts of heaven.
