*CALL TO WORSHIP

We come to worship God the Father, might creator and author of life.

Source of all life, we give you praise.

We come to worship God the Son, glorious redeemer and exalted savior.

Grace flows from your hands and love from your mouth.

We come to worship God the Holy Spirit, source of wisdom and comfort

for the afflicted.

Almighty God, Three in One, we worship you!

 *OPENING PRAYER

*HYMN OF PRAISE #64 (UM hymnal)

“Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty”

*LITANY FOR PEACE WITH JUSTICE SUNDAY “This is My Desire”

That they who rule might seek the welfare of those who serve: This is

my desire.

Say the word, Lord, and it shall be so. Blessed are the merciful,

for they shall obtain mercy.

That they who have plenty might meet the need of those who have little:

This is my desire.

Say the word, Lord, and it shall be so. Blessed are the meek, for they

shall inherit the earth.

That they who are many might uphold the rights of those who are few:

This is my desire.

Say the word, Lord, and it shall be so. Blessed are those who hunger

for justice, for they shall be satisfied.

That they who quarrel might hear the cries of those who long for peace:

This is my desire.

Say the word, Lord and it shall be so. Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they shall be called your children.

Then do not cry, “Peace! Peace!” while battles still rage!

We have heard your word; we will make it so.

Do not shout, “Free at last!” while chains still rattle!

We have heard your word; we will make it so.

Do not sing, “A land of plenty!” while bellies groan!

We have heard your word; we will make it so.

Do not say, “Lord, Lord!” while idols still stand!

We have heard your word; we will make it so!

- Worship Service Deadline If needing to make an announcement at a worship service, especially if you are in need of something inserted or played during the service, it needs to be given to Carla Hummel no later than the end of Thursday prior to the service.  If preparing for special services, please allow at least 2 days’ notice in order to properly prepare for the addition. I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the sound system and PowerPoint presentation so that I am able to provide the best possible service, the deadline allows us all a chance to practice and test so that it becomes a more flawless presentation.  Thanks for your consideration!
