*CALL TO WORSHIP

Like the ancient followers who waited for days in an upstairs, prayer room,

we wait before God.

And though we wait in faith, we are not certain how God will come to us.

And yet we wait, certain that the wait is worthwhile.

For, those who waited long ago received an outpouring of God’s

promised Spirit.

And so, in faith, we have come to wait before God!

If you would like to volunteer for one Sunday please call Lorraine Slade at 260-3133. Thanks You

- United Methodist Women On June 6th, UMW will take a short field trip to the Homeless Shelter in Yankton, which they have supported financially and with supplies to help serve those who have no home of their own. Anyone – male or female - interested in attending may contact Joan Neubauer at 260-9564 and have your name added to the list.  We will meet at the church at 10:00 a.m. that day, take the brief trip by cars to the Homeless Shelter and then lunch together at 11:45 to discuss our future plans for assistance to the shelter.  The group will then be on summer hiatus until September 12th, at which time our Shepherdess, Marilyn Herrboldt, from Sioux Falls will be our guest.

- Camp even though the Early Bird deadline is past you can still register for camp. The cost would be at full price. The church and UWM will still cover ½ of the early bird cost for one camp per youth (K-12th grade) you are responsible for the balance.

- Church Directory there are a few 2016 Church Directories available on the Welcome Table. If you have a new phone number, address or email please let Lisa in the office know.

- Worship Service Deadline If needing to make an announcement at a worship service, especially if you are in need of something inserted or played during the service, it needs to be given to Carla Hummel no later than the end of Thursday prior to the service.  If preparing for special services, please allow at least 2 days’ notice in order to properly prepare for the addition. I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the sound system and PowerPoint presentation so that I am able to provide the best possible service, the deadline allows us all a chance to practice and test so that it becomes a more flawless presentation.  Thanks for your consideration!

Youth News

Sr. High 9th–12th grade

We meet on Wednesday nights in the Youth Room. 7:15-8:45pm Lesson and discussion

Our current lesson series: Un-Religious

Are you religious? What if being religious isn’t the way to go, but instead it’s all about having a relationship with God? When we start to look at things from that perspective, it opens up a whole new world in our lives. Join us as we discover what it looks like to be Un-Religious.

KFC 6th–8th grade

We meet Sunday nights in the Youth Room 6:30pm-7:30pm

Our current lesson series Are We There Yet?

Our families are so crucial to developing us into who we will become. They shape how we go through life as well as our perception of who God is. Family is the number one influencer in a teenager’s life–and where they spend the majority of their time. In the four-week series "Are We There Yet," students learn to navigate through their family situations and discover who they need to be to create a healthy family dynamic.

In Our Thoughts and Prayers:

Church family serving in the military: all men & women serving in the military and their families.

Above are the most recent prayer concerns. For prayer partners, a complete list is on the

Welcome Table.

(If you have prayer requests for publication, please contact the church office.)
