- Positions available if you have a heart for working with young children and would like to have a larger role in furthering the Christian education of some of the youngest members of our congregation, the church has an opening for a Director of Christian Education.  This position oversees Sunday school, VBS, the Christmas program, as well as other young youth related programs and helps coordinate the volunteers needed for these activities.  This is a paid position.  If you are interested or would like further information on this position please contact Rev. Ron, Chad Herrmann, or Bob Walser.

- Choir Director If you have an aptitude and love for music and singing and would like to help develop those skills in others, the church has an opening for a Choir Director. This position would work with the Senior Pastor to help pick out and perform choir music for Sunday worship and other requested times and would also coordinate practice of this music prior to worship performances. This is a paid position.  If you are interested or would like further information on this position please contact Rev. Ron, Chad Herrmann, or Bob Walser.

- On behalf of the Finance Committee, thank you to everyone who purchases Hy-Vee cash cards through First United Methodist Church. The Committee recently approved a request to remodel the.  Jr. High Youth Room at an estimated cost of $5,538 using some of the proceeds from past Hy-Vee card sales. Last year alone, FUMC raised $6,206 through this very simple and valuable ministry that

everyone can participate in. Hy-Vee cards are available for sale each Wednesday & Sunday before and between worship services. A special thanks to all past and present church members and office staff involved in this ministry.
