Traditional Worship: 10:00 A.M.

Ninth Sunday after Pentecost

Our Mission:

“To grow disciples of Jesus Christ and equip them for ministry in the world.”

Why have you come to this place?

We have come to find Jesus.

Why have you come today?

We are tired in body and spirit.

Jesus bids you sit and be at ease.

We are hungry with nothing to eat.

Come and eat your fill.

But there are only five barley loaves and two fish.

There is plenty for all.

Will we find wholeness here?

Jesus gathers the fragment of our lives, that nothing may be lost.

We will be needing lots of mountain climbing gear and some tents and ropes and such for decorations. If you are bringing these props, please clearly mark them with your name.  Please contact me if you have any questions at all. Thank you in advance for all that you do to help this become a success. God Bless.

- On behalf of the Finance Committee, thank you to everyone who purchases Hy-Vee cash cards through First United Methodist Church. The Committee recently approved a request to remodel the.  Jr.

High Youth Room at an estimated cost of $5,538 using some of the proceeds from past Hy-Vee card sales. Last year alone, FUMC raised $6,206 through this very simple and valuable ministry that everyone can participate in. Hy-Vee cards are available for sale each Wednesday & Sunday before and between worship services. A special thanks to all past and present church members and office staff involved in this ministry.
