*CALL TO WORSHIP

With what shall we come before God this day?

With love and justice, with compassion and kindness.

With what shall we worship the Lord this day?

With humility and mercy, with faithfulness and righteousness.

Come into God’s presence, not as perfect beings, but as people of hope and blessing.

Blessed are the poor in spirit. Blessed are the meek and the merciful. Blessed are

the sorrowful and those who dream of peace and righteousness.

Bring your dreams. Bring your sorrows. For all are welcome here!

GREAT THANKSGIVING

The Lord be with you.

And also with you.

Lift up your hearts.

We lift them up to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

And so, with your people on earth, and all the company of heaven, we praise your name and join their unending hymn, saying.

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your

glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the

Lord. Hosanna in the highest!

And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts of love and grace, we offer ourselves in

praise and thanksgiving as humble servants, walking with you in justice and compassion,

as we proclaim the mystery of faith.

Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.

For further information contact Jane Gilmore at 665-8303. Prayerfully consider taking the time to minister to our members who need transportation.

- Faith and Home On Sunday, February 2nd the Faith and Home class will be led by Lance and Kristi Palecek at 9:45 a.m. at the east end of Wesley Hall.  The title of this class is “Teaching your Child to Pray.”  Contact Susan Thorson, Parish Nurse with questions at the church office 665-2991.

Available resources are in Wesley Hall. The Parish Nurse is available Sundays to do blood pressure screenings.

- Thank You Marsha and I would like to say thank you for all of the wishes, cards, gifts, and goodies we received for Christmas 2013. Ron & Marsha Johnson

- The Women's Bible Study that meets in the Upper Room during Sunday School, will be starting a new study called James Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore.  This Study provides a personal study five days a week plus 8 video sessions of this in-depth women's Bible study. James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple.  Please join us on Sunday, February 9th, during Sunday School at 9:45am or on Wednesday, February 12th, at 6:30pm.  Both times meet in the Upper Room. This Study will end in May.

- A Mission Experience Merle Brandt and Tom Gilmore are planning a work mission to the Tree of Life. We will be working to help organize the clothing and supply warehouse. The dates will be Feb. 6th, 7th and 8th and the 13th, 14th and 15th if enough workers sign up. We will be working in an unheated warehouse, therefore warm clothing will be necessary. Each person should plan to contribute $10 for the 6 meals. We will leave Thursday at 5pm and return Saturday evening. If you have questions or want to sign up call Tom Gilmore at 665-8303.

- Ladies Night Club lock-in Ladies Night Club will be holding a lock-in March 15th. Watch the bulletin for more details. Everyone is invited.

- Tree of Life Ministry The Rosebud Reservation is the second poorest county in the entire USA.  Over 1,000 people depend on “Tree of Life” for free hot meals each week.  With cutbacks in food stamps, the ministry is more needed than ever.  Without an increase in financial support the ministry may have to curtail their food pantry and hot meal program during the winter months.  With that being said, the Missions Committee has committed to continue the Miles of Pennies into the New Year.
